"We woke up bright and early on a relatively warm Spring day in March. Feeling very motivated, I asked Chad to go on a bike ride. He suggested packing a lunch and bringing a bottle of wine which I thought was a great idea.
We set off for the KT trail and about 5 miles into the bike ride my motivation faded and I thought we should find a place for lunch. Chad was insistent we continue on and look for somewhere off the beaten track.
Finally, he spotted an area in this field of purple wildflowers but to get there we had to go through some really tall grass which I was sure was infested with snakes.

After much debate, we walked through the fields, spread out our blanket and started eating our lunch. Chad was pretty quiet while we were eating. It was mostly me asking questions and him giving me a dazed and confused look.
We finished our lunch and started to pack up when he said that there was one thing he wanted to ask me. At that point he got on his knees, grabbed my RIGHT hand and asked me to marry him.
The rest was a blur but I'm pretty sure I said yes. The bike ride home flew by and I may have said "oh my gosh" a million times before we got to the car.
